Dana Jackson
Principal
My name is Ms. Dana Jackson, the proud Principal of Maple Lane Elementary!
I am a native of Wilmington, Delaware, with the fulfilling experience of leading within BSD, where I myself attended school as a child. I studied Elementary Teacher Education and School Leadership at the University of Delaware and Wilmington University. My career as a teacher began over 20 years ago. After teaching grades 3-5, I went on to become a Dean of Students, and an Assistant Principal. I'm proud to say that my entire journey was within Brandywine's district. I have to say that teaching was and will always be a highlight of my career!
When I'm not at work, I participate in community service, teaching mindfulness and social-emotional education to teens, promoting literacy to young learners, and encouraging green sustainability practices within our local community. I enjoy spoiling my feisty and spirited fur babies, Ivy & Derrick, and watching my beautiful god-daughter master all that she pursues. My favorite pastime activities are walking along the Delaware River, antiquing and thrifting, taking weekend road trips, swimming, and attending enjoying local festivals.
I am enthusiastic about making learning engaging and meaningful for all students & I truly believe that a good education is the foundation for a better future. Thank you for your partnership, as providing the tools for greatness is a team effort!
Ms. Sabrina Paulino
Assistant Principal
Ms. Sabrina Paulino is thrilled to serve as Maple Lane Elementary’s Assistant Principal!
Originally from Delaware County, PA, Ms. Paulino earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University and her Master’s Degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University. She spent 13 years as both an elementary and middle school math educator, including four years teaching at Maple Lane, before transitioning into her leadership role in 2024.
Her mission is to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families to connect, learn, and grow together. Passionate about student achievement, Ms. Paulino is driven by data and uses it to promote growth across the school community.
Outside of school, Ms. Paulino enjoys life with her two children—both proud Maple Lane students—and their cat. She loves the beach, music, reading, running, spending time with family and friends, and has a special fondness for sunflowers. Known for her sense of humor and love of coffee, she’s rarely without a coffee cup in hand and a joke to share. She also is a huge Phillies and Eagles fan. GO BIRDS!
Ms. Paulino is excited to continue building strong relationships and supporting every student’s success.

Ms. Samantha Walsh
Dean of Students
Samantha Walsh is the Instructional Dean of Students at Maple Lane Elementary, where she strives to empower, encourage, and invest in every member of the school community. Guided by the belief that everyone needs someone who sees their potential, Mrs. Walsh works to help students and staff take meaningful steps toward their goals.
Mrs. Walsh is currently earning her Doctorate in K–12 Educational Leadership at Widener University. She also holds a Master of Education from Cabrini University and dual bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Spanish from Ursinus College.
With more than ten years of experience in education, Mrs. Walsh has served as a Teacher of Multilingual Learners, an elementary classroom teacher, and an early childhood lead teacher. Her work has focused on equitable access to rigorous instruction, data-informed decision making, and supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth. She has designed and led school-wide professional development, presented at district learning summits, and contributed to MTTS, attendance, and school culture teams.
Outside of her formal roles, Mrs. Walsh loves spending time with her husband and their two children. They love traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time outside.
