About Us

Maple Lane is a Kindergarten to Grade 5 Spanish Immersion Elementary school located on ten landscaped acres in Claymont, Delaware.  Each classroom has central air, bathrooms, and multiple modes of technology. The positive atmosphere at Maple Lane is a result of the caring teachers and staff who provide research-based instructional practices to promote student achievement.

 

Our instructional program, based on the Common Core Standards, is designed to meet the needs of each student. They are instructed in the core subject areas and attend library, music, physical education, guidance, and art once a week. We also have a Reading Specialist, Academic tutors, an English Second Language teacher and English Second Language tutors to assist and enhance student learning! In addition, we have the services of a School Psychologist and a Special Education Coordinator.  Our active PTA runs special events for students, volunteer in our classrooms, library, and office.  We strive to work together to provide the best educational experience possible.
